Healthcare Team Lead – AHPRA Registered Nurse

About the role

This is a unique leadership position at the intersection of clinical excellence, patient experience, and public advocacy within a digital healthcare company. You will lead the Sydney‑based medical support team, set clinical standards, and ensure a patient‑first approach across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and manage the Sydney medical support team, establishing high clinical standards and a supportive environment.
• Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex patient enquiries, providing senior clinical judgement and ensuring safe, high‑quality care at scale.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with clinical, operations and product teams to identify risks, drive process improvements and scale evidence‑based care.
• Represent the company at industry events, contribute to articles and marketing content, and translate clinical concepts into patient‑centred stories.

Required profile

• Registered nurse (AHPRA) with 4+ years of clinical or patient‑facing experience.
• Proven experience leading and managing a clinical/operations team, including performance management and professional development.
• Strong communicator able to handle sensitive clinical and non‑clinical conversations with empathy and clarity.
• Excellent clinical judgement, comfortable being the final escalation point for high‑risk cases.
• Problem‑solver who seeks systemic improvements and thrives in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments.
