Healthcare Compliance Manager – Australia & New Zealand

About the role

The Manager, HCC AU / New Zealand acts as the Healthcare Compliance Officer for Australia and New Zealand, providing strategic and operational leadership for DePuy Synthes’ Orthopedics business. This role partners with country leadership, Legal, and global compliance teams to ensure ethical conduct, effective risk management, and adherence to healthcare laws and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Healthcare Compliance Officer for Australia and New Zealand markets.
• Lead development and execution of compliance strategies aligned with global and APAC priorities.
• Identify, assess and manage compliance risks across commercial, promotional, professional education and operational activities.
• Provide proactive guidance to business leaders on compliance requirements and ethical decision‑making.
• Embed effective compliance controls into business processes and market activities.
• Oversee compliance programs including training, monitoring, risk assessments and issue management.
• Partner with Legal and other functions to support investigations, audits and regulatory interactions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends to anticipate emerging risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in healthcare compliance, preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical sector.
• Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand healthcare laws and regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.
• Excellent analytical and risk‑management skills.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
