Head of Finance

About the role

This newly created senior finance position is for a small but international software company. Reporting to the Divisional Managing Director, you will join the senior leadership team to own all financial operations, compliance and strategic planning for the business unit.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the SLT to provide commercial insights, optimise project finances and drive profitability.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, payroll governance and multiple international P&L statements (Australia and the United Kingdom).
• Lead month‑, quarter‑ and year‑end closes, budgeting and forecasting in line with strict IFRS guidelines.
• Oversee internal and external audits and strengthen financial controls across the organisation.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CA or CPA) with several years of industry experience.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, varied environment and to combine technical finance expertise with commercial acumen.
• Strong analytical thinking and a results‑oriented mindset.
