Handy Person for Remote Lodge Maintenance

About the role

The Handy Person will ensure the smooth operation of guest facilities and lodge equipment at Cooinda Lodge Kakadu, a unique resort in the heart of Kakadu National Park. This onsite role involves daily checks, minor repairs, and support for preventive maintenance in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and minor repairs such as fixing leaking taps, replacing lightbulbs, clearing pathways, and cleaning air‑conditioning filters.
• Maintain pool filters, swimming pool areas, and other guest facilities.
• Support scheduled preventive maintenance, including generator servicing, roof and water‑heater inspections, and pest/termite checks.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Reliable, adaptable to shift work, and able to multitask in a hospitality setting.
• Strong commitment to guest safety and satisfaction, aligning with Accor’s Heartist values.

Required skills

• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• HVAC (air‑conditioning) maintenance skills.
