Graduate Structural Engineer

About the role

Join a multidisciplinary design and engineering consultancy as a Graduate Structural Engineer, working on major infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake structural design, assessments and finite element analysis for bridges, buildings, tunnels, underground and maritime structures.
• Perform structural inspections and supervise onsite works in Australia.
• Adopt and standardise procedures for work products, ensuring consistency and excellence through peer review.
• Follow company procedures for service delivery, health and safety, and project administration.

Required profile

• Distinction or higher Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Basic knowledge of Australian Standards and other national/international standards.
• Awareness of contract forms, construction methodologies and civil engineering procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and numeracy skills with a results‑orientated approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Competence with MS Office applications.
• Ability to use proprietary structural analysis programmes and perform finite element analysis.
