Global Sourcing Manager – Operational Services

About the role

The Global Sourcing Manager for Australia leads sourcing activities for operational services and spare parts, ensuring cost‑effective, reliable and compliant procurement to support Nordex’s regional service organisation. Based in Melbourne, the role reports to the Head of Operational Services and works closely with global teams in Germany.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing processes (RFQs/RFPs), including preparation, supplier engagement, evaluation, negotiation and award recommendations.
• Manage procurement for operational service categories such as cranes, lifting services, maintenance labour, blade inspections, statutory inspections and critical spare parts.
• Act as primary contact for local contractors and service providers, aligning sourcing activities with operational needs and global procurement strategies.
• Monitor sourcing activities against the regional budget, track cost savings and present recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, legal requirements and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in sourcing or procurement, preferably within wind‑energy service categories.
• Proven experience managing RFQs/RFPs, commercial negotiations and supplier selection.
• Experience in multi‑country or regional environments and collaboration with global teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
