Food Services Cook - Part-Time

About the role

Respect is looking for a part-time Food Services Cook to join the team at St Ann's in Hobart, Tasmania. The role centres on preparing and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents in a welcoming aged care setting. You will work within a supportive food services team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and cooking
• Help deliver meals that meet menu requirements and residents' dietary needs
• Contribute to food safety and maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Ensure residents receive enjoyable meals that support their health and wellbeing

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in aged care, healthcare or a similar environment
• Relevant cookery qualification or demonstrated cooking experience
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and infection control practices
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals while accommodating dietary requirements and modified food textures
• Current National Police Certificate
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts
