Casual Food Services Cook - Aged Care

About the role

A casual Food Services Cook is needed at St Ann's, an aged care facility in Hobart, Tasmania. The role prepares and delivers nutritious, high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents in a welcoming environment. You will work as part of a supportive food services team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and cooking
• Help with menu requirements
• Contribute to food safety and maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Ensure residents receive enjoyable meals that support their health and wellbeing

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in aged care, healthcare or a similar environment
• Relevant cookery qualification or demonstrated cooking experience
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and infection control practices
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals while accommodating dietary requirements and modified food textures
• Current National Police Certificate
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts
