About the role
Mercy Health is looking for a casual Cook for its Mercy Place facility in East Melbourne. The role centres on preparing nutritious meals for residents while keeping the kitchen safe, clean and hygienic.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards and keep the kitchen environment clean.
- Assist with menu planning and accommodate special dietary requirements.
- Monitor food quality, ensuring meals are served at the correct temperature and on time.
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs and preferences.
Required profile
- Resilient, compassionate and committed to patient-centred care.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
- Significant experience in commercial cooking.
- Food Safety and Hygiene certification.
- Current police check and working rights in Australia (evidence or progress toward these).
