Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

Oaks Port Douglas Resort is looking for an enthusiastic, service-driven Food & Beverage Manager to join its team on a full-time basis. The role supports the smooth operation of the resort's food and beverage outlets and leads a small team to deliver exceptional guest experiences across breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the F&B team to ensure professional, efficient and high-quality service.
• Assist with taking guest orders accurately and accommodating guest preferences.
• Demonstrate menu knowledge and confidently recommend food and beverage options to guests.
• Oversee the serving of food and beverages, maintaining professional standards and guest satisfaction.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and coach and mentor team members with guidance, support and training.
• Assist with rostering, shift coordination and workflow planning.
• Ensure compliance with RSA, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
• Support management with reporting, stock management and service improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Food & Beverage Manager.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching or mentoring a team in a hospitality environment.
• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification.
• Warm, approachable demeanour, proven ability to deliver consistent high-quality guest service, and strong communication skills.
• Reliability and flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Working rights within Australia or New Zealand.

Shift details

• Breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts.
• Rotating roster from Monday to Sunday.
• Split shifts may be required on some days.
