Food & Beverage Attendant

About the role

Freycinet Lodge, an eco-lodge in Freycinet National Park near Coles Bay, Tasmania, is hiring several casual team members for its food and beverage outlets from late November through to late December. The lodge has 70 rooms and a main lodge overlooking the waterfront, and offers staff accommodation. Applicants are asked to commit to at least six months, including the Christmas and New Year period.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service in various food and beverage outlets, treating guests as individuals with tailored options
• Carry out general waiting and service duties for food and beverages
• Process dockets accurately, including cashiering duties
• Set up and reset restaurants and conference and function areas as required

Required profile

• Food and beverage service experience with a passion for showcasing local produce
• Strong bar, cocktail and mixology experience
• Understanding of sequence of service principles and general service operations
• Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate and completed Do Food Safely certificate
• WSET certificate highly regarded
• Flexible to a 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays

Required skills

• Barista skills, able to handle many orders in a short window
• Genuine knowledge of spirits, beer and wine
• Excellent customer service and communication with guests
