Financial Reporting and Control Senior Analyst – Wealth Management

About the role

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Financial Reporting and Control Senior Analyst to join a high‑performing finance team supporting a fast‑paced wealth management business. The role is ideal for candidates transitioning from a chartered accounting or consulting background or those who have progressed through a finance graduate scheme.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements and regulatory reports in line with accounting standards and legislative requirements.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and profit‑and‑loss analytical reviews, delivering insights on financial performance.
• Coordinate the external audit process, managing requests, deliverables and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting, governance and internal‑control requirements.
• Identify risks, recommend process improvements and contribute to strengthening financial controls.
• Build strong relationships across Finance and the wider business to support decision‑making and reporting outcomes.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Experience in financial control, statutory or financial reporting, preferably within financial services, banking, wealth management or superannuation.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical/problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and work in a large or complex organisation.
