Financial Accountant – First Mover (Audit Background)

About the role

This newly created Financial Accountant position is part of a fast‑growing FMCG group expanding its finance function in Australia. You will work from a CBD office with flexible WFH options and collaborate with teams in the UK and US.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the month‑end close process and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare half‑year and annual reports for ASX compliance.
• Lead financial reporting across the group and business units, ensuring alignment with local and international standards.
• Research complex accounting issues, produce detailed analyses, and evaluate the impact of changes to accounting policies.

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualification or near completion.
• First‑ or second‑time mover from a Big‑4 or mid‑tier audit background.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for driving change in a fast‑paced environment.
