Financial Accountant (Contract)

About the role

The Financial Accountant will join a collaborative finance team during a period of finance transformation. This contract position supports financial reporting, month‑end processes and continuous improvement initiatives across a multi‑site organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end journals, balance‑sheet reconciliations and assist with the month‑end close.
• Support financial reporting and maintain the general ledger.
• Administer finance systems and drive process improvements.
• Handle fixed‑asset accounting and related financial activities.
• Partner with payroll and wider finance teams to resolve accounting queries.
• Investigate accounting issues and recommend practical improvements.
• Contribute to ongoing finance transformation projects.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion).
• Previous financial accounting experience, either from audit or a commercial environment.
• Experience in a multi‑site organisation is highly regarded.
• Strong month‑end accounting and reconciliation skills.
• Systems‑savvy with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
