Financial Accountant – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Chobani Australia is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, you will support month‑end and year‑end finance processes, ensure compliance with taxation and statutory reporting, and contribute to audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and reporting.
• Assist with taxation and statutory compliance obligations such as BAS, PAYG, FBT and other reporting requirements.
• Manage fixed‑asset accounting processes and lease accounting requirements.
• Partner with finance, operations, legal, marketing and external stakeholders.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes and governance activities.
• Prepare financial analysis and reporting to support business decision‑making.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives and strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce, with CPA qualification (or working towards).
• Proven Financial Accountant experience in FMCG, manufacturing or a complex commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month‑end processes, taxation compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
• Understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB); exposure to US GAAP is highly regarded.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
