Finance Manager – Australian Subsidiary of Global Industrial Group

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance function of our Australian subsidiary, part of a globally listed French industrial group. Based in Brisbane with hybrid work and monthly travel to Townsville, you will report directly to the APAC Regional CFO and own the end‑to‑end finance operation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and manage year‑end close with external accountants.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, 3‑year forecasts and monthly Group reporting submissions.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide clear financial commentary to the Managing Director and Regional CFO.
• Oversee cash flow, banking relationships and working capital management.
• Coordinate the upcoming statutory audit and ensure compliance with Australian regulations.
• Drive the transition from Xero to a more robust ERP system as the business scales.
• Partner with operations on cost control, project financials and business planning.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in financial control, FP&A, audit or industry finance, preferably in a standalone or SME environment.
• Proven track record preparing financial statements, managing audits and owning month‑end close.
• CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent recognised in Australia).
• Strong confidence in budgeting, forecasting and senior‑level financial reporting.
• Fluent English and willingness to relocate to Brisbane or Townsville with fortnightly travel.
• SME mindset – able to deliver results without a large team.
