FIFO Chef - 14 Days On, 14 Days Off

About the role

Sodexo is looking for experienced chefs for its regional Queensland operations, working in a busy village environment where quality meals keep mining communities running safely and efficiently. This is a FIFO position from Adelaide on a 14-day on, 14-day off roster, with 11-hour days. Opportunities are casual with the potential for permanent placement for high performers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare meals across breakfast, crib and dinner services
• Work in a high-volume catering environment
• Maintain food safety and HACCP standards
• Deliver consistent quality and presentation
• Work as part of a supportive kitchen team

Required profile

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
• Experience in bulk catering or high-volume kitchens
• FIFO, DIDO or remote site experience desirable but not essential
• Full Australian working rights
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test

Required skills

• Strong food safety and hygiene knowledge
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Ability to work in remote environments and varying weather conditions
