Facilities Manager – Resort Operations

About the role

Minor Hotels is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the day‑to‑day facilities operations at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort. This full‑time position ensures the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all building systems, common areas, and resort facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and drive preventative maintenance programmes for all building systems.
• Perform hands‑on repairs and maintenance across the property as needed.
• Manage contractors and service providers covering electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire, security, pest control, cleaning and other essential services.
• Oversee the presentation, upkeep and landscaping of common areas, gardens and grounds.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, contractor works, quotations, reporting and asset‑management plans.
• Liaise with Body Corporate representatives, owners, residents and hotel management on property matters.
• Assist with budgeting, expenditure control, invoice approvals and capital‑expenditure projects.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, emergency procedures, contractor requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, contractor documentation, building reports and compliance registers.
• Support sustainability initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects to enhance property performance and guest experience.

Required profile

• Hands‑on maintenance or facilities‑management experience, preferably in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, compliance requirements and property‑maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
