About the role
An established professional services firm is seeking an experienced External Audit Manager to join its Melbourne team. You will manage audit engagements from planning through to completion, building strong client relationships and leading junior staff.
Key responsibilities
- Manage external audit engagements from planning to completion, overseeing risk assessments, audit testing and technical matters.
- Control engagement timelines, budgets and overall delivery while acting as the primary client contact.
- Review audit working papers to ensure high quality and compliance.
- Coach and develop junior team members.
Required profile
- External audit experience in a mid‑tier or boutique professional services firm.
- Proven track record of leading audit engagements and managing client relationships.
- Strong technical audit knowledge, commercial awareness and CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualification.
- Valid Australian working rights.
