Estimator / Scheduler – Residential Construction

About the role

Bluestone Recruitment is partnering with a growing construction business to hire an Estimator / Scheduler to support residential construction operations. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with 2–3 years of residential estimating experience who wants to develop both estimating and production scheduling skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare residential construction estimates, costings and material take‑offs.
• Review plans, specifications and building documentation to ensure accurate pricing.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and verify pricing.
• Assist with construction scheduling, trade coordination and build programme management.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays and support workflow improvements.
• Maintain accurate estimating and scheduling records, systems and documentation.

Required profile

• 2–3 years’ experience in residential estimating.
• Sound understanding of residential construction methods, materials and building documentation.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confident communication with internal stakeholders, suppliers and subcontractors.
