Apprentice Electrician – Melbourne

About the role

Join Equans in Melbourne as an Electrical Apprentice and gain hands‑on experience on a variety of commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure projects. You will work alongside A‑Grade electricians, learning practical skills while completing your Certificate III in Electrotechnology.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with general electrical installations, switchboard and power distribution work.
• Perform fault finding, maintenance, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Support commercial fit‑outs, upgrades, lighting and control system installations.
• Participate in preventative and reactive maintenance for building services and critical infrastructure.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for the electrical industry and a strong work ethic.
• Reliability, commitment to learning and a safety‑focused mindset.
• Current driver’s licence (or working towards one) and enrolment in a Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
