Enterprise Business Development Manager - APJ

About the role

Chainguard is seeking a Manager of Enterprise Business Development for the APJ region to lead and mentor a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs). You will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, coaching, and driving performance to meet pipeline targets and support the company’s sales goals.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale the BDR function, collaborating with recruiting to hire top talent.
• Develop outbound prospecting, qualification, and opportunity creation skills within the team.
• Provide weekly 1:1 coaching, feedback, and performance monitoring.
• Partner with Demand Generation, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to refine lead generation, messaging, and hand‑off processes.
• Forecast weekly, monthly, and quarterly attainment and track KPIs to improve BDR productivity.

Required profile

• 2+ years leading a BDR team, preferably in cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, or open‑source software.
• Proven experience in recruiting, hiring, and training new team members.
• Strong analytical ability and data‑driven decision making.
• Comfortable thriving in a fast‑paced, unpredictable environment.
• Located in the APJ region.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM platforms.
• Lead generation software proficiency.
• Familiarity with AI tools for sales enablement.
