Engineer – Drainage & Flooding, Roads & Highways

About the role

We are seeking an Engineer – Drainage & Flooding, Roads & Highways to join our Sydney team. This permanent position supports the delivery of major infrastructure projects across New South Wales and nationally.

Key responsibilities

• Design drainage systems and conduct flood modelling for transport and infrastructure projects.
• Produce high‑quality analysis and design documentation that meets client and industry standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver road, highway and rail projects.
• Ensure compliance with Austroads Part 5, 5A & 5B and Australian Rainfall and Runoff guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering or related discipline).
• At least 2 years of Australian experience in drainage design and stormwater management.
• Experience on infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, rail or urban development.
• Familiarity with Austroads standards and Australian rainfall‑runoff guidelines.
• Experience in an engineering consultancy or similar environment with a collaborative mindset.
