About the role

Join Greencross Vet Hospital’s 24/7 emergency team in Werribee, providing hands‑on nursing care to a diverse range of emergency and critically ill patients in a busy teaching hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care to emergency and critically ill patients.
• Tri­age and assist with stabilisation of emergency presentations.
• Assist veterinarians with emergency procedures, diagnostics and surgeries.
• Perform technical nursing skills such as venepuncture, IV catheterisation, blood sampling and patient monitoring.
• Monitor anaesthesia and provide post‑operative and critical care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to patient care planning.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent (essential).
• Minimum 2 years ECC experience or ~5 years general practice with strong clinical skills.
• Availability for a 24/7 rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
