Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

Join Resmed in Sydney as a Software Engineer II, Devices Software, developing reliable embedded software for medical devices that support diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment. You will work in an Agile environment alongside cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality healthcare solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software applications.
• Deliver automated and manual verification against functional and performance requirements.
• Contribute to software architecture, design reviews, and technical discussions.
• Document designs, implementation decisions, and test outcomes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and customer‑reported issues.
• Partner with hardware, systems, and quality engineering teams to deliver reliable software on schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent practical knowledge.
• Commercial software application development background.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python for application and test software development.
• Experience with Agile development environments and CI/CD principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
