Electrician – Hospital Maintenance

About the role

The Electrician Building Services position is part of the Engineering Department at The Prince Charles Hospital and delivers electrical trade services across the facility. Working within a specialist maintenance team, the role supports safe and reliable hospital operations through routine inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs and minor electrical works, in line with electrical safety legislation and healthcare standards. It is a fixed-term temporary, full-time position based in Brisbane North.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, testing, planned maintenance, corrective maintenance and minor electrical works on hospital electrical installations, services, plant and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety legislation, standards, policies and procedures, and keep accurate maintenance and testing records.
• Diagnose electrical issues and deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions while keeping essential hospital services running.
• Work with trade colleagues on multi-trade projects and support apprentices and trade assistants when needed.
• Participate in the on-call roster, respond to after-hours maintenance requests and follow safe work practices.
