Duty Manager (Super Host) - Punthill Epping

About the role

Punthill Epping Apartments, opened in June 2026, is a brand-new serviced apartment hotel with 100 apartments, conference rooms, a gym and laundry facilities, located near Northern Hospital and Pacific Epping Shopping Centre. As Duty Manager (Super Host) reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will lead a small team and oversee the front office, including guest service, complaint handling, team management and training.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the front office, including complaint escalation and problem-solving, team management and training, rostering and timesheet approvals
• Ensure a high level of guest service at check-in, check-out and during the stay, setting the standards for the hotel
• Create memorable guest experiences by tailoring ways to delight guests
• Identify new sales leads and encourage the team to do the same
• Manage emergency situations safely and professionally
• Build strong relationships with teammates and guests
• Support the Hotel Manager with higher-level management and admin tasks

Required profile

• Adaptable, enjoys variety and operates with an ownership mindset
• Approved Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency or visa with approved working rights)
• First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain it within the first month)
• Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or willingness to obtain it within the first month)
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including public holidays on rotation with other team members; no overnight shifts required
• Demonstrated experience leading a team and resolving escalated complaints
• High standards of attention to detail and written and verbal communication
• Experience delivering genuine, vibrant customer service
