Guest Service Agent (Local Host) - Epping

About the role

Punthill Epping Apartments, part of Veriu Group, is a serviced apartment hotel in Melbourne's northern corridor offering 100 contemporary apartments for business, leisure, healthcare visitors and extended-stay guests. As Guest Service Agent (Local Host), you report to the Hotel Manager and act as a friendly host who knows the local area well, providing advice and recommendations to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a high level of guest service at every touchpoint, from check-in and check-out through to the stay
• Solve complaints and problems creatively
• Act as a true host and local connection, recommending points of interest in the area
• Handle emergencies safely and professionally
• Identify opportunities to attract more returning and new guests
• Help the Hotel Manager keep the hotel running to Veri-Best standards

Required profile

• Adaptable, enjoys variety and has an ownership mindset
• Customer service experience
• Ability to work as a team and independently
• Flexible availability across shifts, including weekends and public holidays on rotation; no overnight shifts required
• Approved Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency or visa with approved working rights)
• First Aid certificate (or ability to obtain it before starting)
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (or ability to obtain it before starting)
