About the role

The Director – Operations (Northern Tasmania) leads a skilled workforce delivering ambulance and non‑emergency patient transport services across Northern Tasmania. Based in Launceston, the role ensures safe, responsive, high‑quality care while supporting strategic priorities through strong operational leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of ambulance and non‑emergency patient transport services across urban, regional and remote areas.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership to regional teams, driving performance improvement initiatives.
• Oversee emergency management, business continuity planning and statewide portfolio responsibilities.
• Steward financial, workforce and physical resources, ensuring efficient use of budgets and assets.
• Build and maintain partnerships with health providers, emergency services, government agencies and community stakeholders.
• Foster a positive, safe, high‑performing workplace culture focused on staff wellbeing and continuous improvement.
