Director of Workforce Capability & Culture

About the role

RoadTek, a commercial business within Queensland's Department of Transport and Main Roads, is seeking a senior people leader to shape workforce strategy, culture and capability across the state‑wide organisation that delivers critical road and transport infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise‑wide workforce strategy and planning.
• Provide human resources and workforce advisory services to senior leaders.
• Lead industrial and employee relations, including complex case management.
• Design and deliver leadership capability and development programmes.
• Drive organisational culture, engagement and internal communications initiatives.
• Manage change programmes and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Executive‑level experience leading workforce, culture or people functions in complex, multi‑disciplinary organisations.
• Proven ability to navigate industrial relations, resolve high‑risk workforce issues and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and a track record of leading through complexity.
• Willingness to travel intra‑state and interstate as required.
