Director of Event Technology

About the role

Encore is seeking a Director of Event Technology to lead the delivery of hybrid and in‑person events. You will bridge the onsite team and venue management, ensuring professional service, timely execution, and profitable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient running of event staging services within venues.
• Build and maintain relationships with venues and clients for smooth event execution.
• Advise clients and venue staff on appropriate audio‑visual equipment, digital options, and crew requirements.
• Maintain crew rosters, schedules, and cost management to protect P&L.
• Identify revenue‑growth opportunities and operational improvements.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to develop team capability.

Required profile

• Prior experience in events or sales environments, preferably with AV focus.
• Strong planning, organisational, and account‑management skills.
• Proven ability to manage high‑performing sales teams within third‑party venues.
• Experience in rostering, cost control, and profit‑and‑loss responsibility.
• Qualification in Hospitality or Events is highly regarded.
