DevOps Platform Engineer

About the role

The Mission Software Solution team is looking for DevOps Platform Engineers to support, enhance and automate the platform services used by development teams. You will maintain shared Kubernetes environments, improve CI/CD pipelines and ensure secure, reliable operations across customer environments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support shared Kubernetes environments using Rancher, monitoring workloads and platform health.
• Develop, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, focusing on reliable build, test and deployment outcomes.
• Automate platform configuration, deployment and operational tasks using Ansible, scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
• Administer Linux server environments, handling upgrades, patching, troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
• Support secure platform operations, including certificate management, access controls and DevSecOps practices.
• Troubleshoot complex platform, pipeline and environment issues in collaboration with development and QA teams.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience supporting Kubernetes environments, preferably with Rancher or similar tooling.
• Strong Linux administration experience in enterprise server environments.
• Experience building, maintaining or troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, especially using Jenkins.
• Practical experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and scripting languages.
• Understanding of containerised application delivery, Helm charts and Kubernetes deployment patterns.
• Experience with certificate management, access controls and secure platform practices.
