Design Assistant – Womenswear

About the role

Join the Womenswear team as a Design Assistant, providing hands‑on support throughout the ranging and product development process. This fast‑paced, collaborative environment offers exposure to everything from sample coordination to buy meetings and visual merchandising handovers.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain style files, line sheets and product information, ensuring accuracy and up‑to‑date records.
• Assist designers with sketching, style creation in internal systems, and preparation of colour palettes and Pantone swatches.
• Coordinate samples for buy meetings, trade shows, photoshoots, campaign activities and other key milestones.
• Manage sample storage, organisation, archiving and liaise with Production to monitor delivery timelines.
• Support VM handovers, update product information and handle general design team administration.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
• 1‑2 years experience in a Design Assistant, Buying Assistant or similar role, preferably in womenswear.
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Demonstrated hand‑sketching ability.
