Staff Product Designer, Design Systems

About the role

Airwallex is seeking a senior Staff Product Designer to lead the evolution of its design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across a wide range of digital products.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits to gather use cases and UX patterns, creating reusable component and pattern definitions.
• Identify inconsistencies in component usage and design, and address deviations from the existing design system.
• Collaborate with product teams and developers to ensure alignment, adoption, and quality implementation of components.
• Craft component and pattern usage guidelines and enforce processes for their upkeep.
• Champion the design system’s value to internal stakeholders and continuously enhance it based on feedback and industry trends.

Required profile

• 7+ years of design experience, with at least 2 years maintaining a design system.
• Strong UI design skills demonstrated through a portfolio of end‑to‑end product solutions.
• Methodical and critical thinking with the ability to drive consistency across large product suites.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Figma.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS (bonus).
