About the role

ibis Styles Brisbane is looking for a passionate and reliable Full‑time Demi Chef to join its energetic kitchen team. You will prepare and present high‑quality dishes for breakfast buffets, à la carte lunch and dinner, as well as conference catering, supporting daily operations and working independently when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes across breakfast buffet, à la carte service and event catering.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic work environment and ensure mise en place is ready for service.
• Uphold food safety standards and follow strict stock rotation procedures.
• Assist with stock control, minimise waste and report equipment issues to the Executive Chef.
• Support a positive, collaborative kitchen atmosphere.

Required profile

• Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
• Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship).
• Experience in a similar hotel kitchen role, detail‑focused and able to deliver high‑quality food under pressure.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and flexible availability for rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
