Data Specialist - Fund Services

About the role

OneVue, the largest outsourced fund administration company in Australia, is looking for a Data Specialist to join its Melbourne team. This newly created, hands-on role sits in a small, highly skilled Transition team and involves analysing, mapping and using SQL scripts to load data into Transition and Production environments to a high quality, on time and on budget. The Data Specialist also ensures that all data transitions comply with agreed standards and processes, including performance and scalability, throughout the lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, query and resolve data, and load data with high quality
• Give feedback on the quality of communication to internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain data migration standards and controls
• Ensure a scalable approach is adopted

Required profile

• Ideally a finance or accounting background with 5+ years of experience in data reconciliations and transitions, preferably in financial services
• Previous experience as a Fund Services Data Specialist is highly desirable
• Experience combining analysis, mapping and SQL implementation of large-scale or mission-critical systems in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication, accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to explain technical information to business audiences

Required skills

• Extensive Microsoft SQL Server experience
• Data modelling, performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Complex data and financial reconciliations
