Credit Risk Manager – Provisioning, Forecasting and Account Management

About the role

We are seeking a strategic and analytically minded Credit Risk Manager to lead provisioning and forecasting workstreams and provide account management oversight across a dynamic retail lending portfolio. You will influence senior stakeholders, drive regulatory excellence, and protect the bank's financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end provisioning and forecasting for retail lending portfolios, delivering insights for strategic decision‑making.
• Monitor portfolio performance and emerging risk trends, using data and analytics to identify opportunities and recommend actions.
• Partner with senior leaders across Risk, Finance, Product and Operations to influence key business and risk decisions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements, including IFRS 9 and APS 220.
• Oversee account management, collections and hardship strategies to optimise portfolio performance.
• Conduct deep‑dive portfolio reviews and scenario analysis, translating data into forward‑looking risk forecasts.

Required profile

• 5+ years of credit risk management experience in banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of credit risk principles, credit lifecycle and banking products.
• Ability to balance risk management with commercial objectives.
• Collaborative approach with confidence to build trusted relationships across the business.

Required skills

• Experience with SAS, SQL, R or Python for large data set manipulation.
