Credit Risk Analyst

About the role

Bega Group's Docklands office is the hub for its corporate functions. As Credit Risk Analyst, you will run the core credit risk processes: assessing new and existing customers, setting credit limits and managing trade credit insurance. You will work closely with the Sales and Credit teams and help improve the systems and processes behind them. This is a permanent full-time role, currently two days in the office (Wednesday and Thursday) increasing to three in 2027 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday); applicants must be able to work in Docklands on those days.

Key responsibilities

• Assess new customer credit applications within one business day, and set and maintain credit limits and risk codes across the ERP systems, including SAP
• Apply for trade credit insurance cover, monitor overdue accounts and submit claims to the insurer through to payment
• Prepare the annual insurer report, join weekly risk exposure discussions and work with the Mercantile/Insurers agent to close out customer queries
• Produce weekly customer exposure reports and give Sales and Finance clear insight into account status
• Partner with Sales and Credit teams on credit strategies, support projects and automation initiatives, and back up Credit Services colleagues

Required profile

• Extensive B2B credit risk management experience, including working with Sales and Finance stakeholders and improving processes and systems
• Knowledge of Australian entity types (trusts, trustees, trust deeds), insolvency types and credit bureau tools
• Sharp attention to detail, ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines, and a problem-solving mindset

Required skills

• SAP/M3 proficiency and a strong understanding of trade credit insurance processes and compliance
• Data analysis and reporting with Excel and Power BI preferred, plus familiarity with financial systems and API integration concepts
