Corporate Lawyer (Associate or Senior Associate)

About the role

A leading Brisbane commercial firm is looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Corporate & Commercial team. The role sits alongside experienced Partners and covers a wide mix of transactional, advisory and corporate matters, with direct access to business-owner clients.

Key responsibilities

• Work on high-value M&A transactions, commercial contracts and negotiations, due diligence and transaction documentation, capital raising and investment structuring, shareholders' agreements, joint ventures, business restructures and franchising.
• Provide practical, commercially focused advice on corporate governance and general commercial advisory.
• Build long-term relationships with business-owner clients and develop your own practice.

Required profile

• Associates and Senior Associates with about 4 to 8 years of professional experience.
• Solid grounding in Corporate & Commercial law.
• Ideal candidate has experience in front-end corporate matters and a strong understanding of the Corporations Act.
• Confidence in contract drafting, transactions and corporate compliance.
