Commercial Litigation Associate / Senior Associate Lawyer

About the role

A leading commercial law firm with more than 200 staff in its Brisbane office is seeking a mid-level lawyer for its commercial litigation team. The role involves handling complex disputes across Queensland, including high-profile matters, with direct support from a collaborative team and a partner recognised as a leading practitioner.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a diverse range of commercial disputes, including high-end contract disputes, IP litigation, construction disputes, insurance litigation and indemnity claims, regulatory matters, commercial property disputes and insolvency matters.
• Work on complex, large-scale legal challenges within a dynamic and varied practice.

Required profile

• 4 to 9 years of professional experience, with a strong foundation in disputes.
• Experience working at a large specialist, mid-tier or national firm.

Required skills

• Good understanding of the Corporations Act.
• Good understanding of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules (UCPR).
• Good understanding of alternative dispute resolution and litigation.
