Associate - Corporate & Commercial (Brisbane)

About the role

Hall & Wilcox is looking for a lawyer with 2-4 years of post-admission experience to join its Brisbane Corporate & Commercial team, working alongside partners and lawyers in a well-established team. The role offers hands-on corporate and commercial work with significant learning and development opportunities, and the chance to work with partners and lawyers in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Newcastle.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating transaction documents, including share sale agreements, shareholders' agreements and investment documents.
• Working on M&A and capital markets matters, including preparing capital raising documents, conducting due diligence and attending to transaction completion.
• Liaising with clients and corporate and other advisers, as well as specialist groups within the firm such as Employment, Banking, Tax, Property and Projects.
• Contributing to other commercial transactions such as joint ventures and management equity arrangements.
• Drafting and advising on key commercial contracts for clients from time to time.

Required profile

• 2-4 years of post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Experience in capital markets or M&A transactions.
• A commercially savvy approach to corporate transactions.
