Contractor Management Officer

About the role

KBR is seeking a Contractor Management Officer to support the Commercial and General Service Vehicle Systems Program Office within the Land Vehicle Systems Branch. The role focuses on contract management activities for Defence vehicle fleets, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth and Defence procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the CASG Contract Management Framework and related policies.
• Support procurement planning, tendering, contract formation and ongoing contract management while ensuring legislative compliance.
• Review contracting correspondence and advise on commercially sensitive reports, submissions, and contract change proposals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and subject‑matter experts to develop strategies for contracting issues, including dispute resolution.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education qualification in Project/Commercial Management, Business or similar (minimum Diploma).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in contract management within Defence, Government or related industry.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or above).

Required skills

• Knowledge of the ASDEFCON contracting framework (above and/or below the line).
• Experience in risk management.
• Proficiency in drafting formal correspondence and reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
