Consultant / Senior Consultant – Tax Advisory

About the role

KPMG is looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join its Tax Advisory team supporting private and mid‑market clients across Australia. You will provide high‑quality, technical tax advice on complex domestic and cross‑border matters, helping clients navigate legislation and optimise their business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex Australian tax issues, including domestic and cross‑border scenarios.
• Support transaction work such as asset acquisitions, divestments and capital gains tax (CGT) advisory.
• Assist with tax due diligence and contribute to transaction structuring on both buy‑side and sell‑side engagements.
• Prepare detailed, technically robust written advice covering restructuring, cross‑border matters and group arrangements.
• Participate in ATO reviews, audits and dispute‑related matters.
• Conduct in‑depth technical tax research and apply legislation to practical client scenarios.
• Collaborate with senior team members to deliver high‑quality outcomes across engagements.
