Consultant or Senior Consultant – Internal Audit

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join a growing Internal Audit team within a stable, collaborative organisation. This position offers exposure to a variety of engagements across non‑financial services, government and healthcare clients, providing a solid platform for career development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver internal audit and risk advisory engagements across diverse business environments.
• Manage the full audit lifecycle, from planning and execution to documentation and reporting.
• Apply internal audit methodologies and professional standards consistently.
• Prepare, maintain, and review electronic working papers and supporting documentation.
• Engage with clients and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Collaborate with engagement teams to ensure high‑quality audit outcomes.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in internal audit.
• Experience in a consulting environment, preferably Big 4 or mid‑tier practice.
• Relevant professional qualifications or progress towards IIA, CA, CPA, ACCA.
• Strong understanding of internal audit principles and methodologies.
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or eligible work rights.

Required skills

• Proficiency in internal audit methodologies.
• Ability to use data‑analytics techniques in audit (desirable).
