Construction Manager – Lead Multiple Projects in Sydney

About the role

Our client, a respected Tier‑2 construction firm in Sydney, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of several complex projects. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive operational excellence, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from start‑up through handover, managing all phases of delivery.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and support to Project Managers, Site Managers and on‑site teams.
• Monitor and control project performance across safety, quality, programme, budget and client satisfaction.
• Oversee commercial aspects including procurement, contract administration, cost control and forecasting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Implement innovative construction methodologies and continuous‑improvement processes.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on business planning, resource allocation and operational strategy.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering construction projects in a Tier‑1 or Tier‑2 environment.
• Background as a Senior Project Manager moving into a Construction Manager role, or an established Construction Manager seeking a new challenge.
• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong commercial acumen with solid understanding of contracts, procurement and financial management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead high‑performing teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality and client‑focused outcomes.
