Communications Officer - Visual Design

About the role

A regional communications team is looking for a Communications Officer to support the delivery of public infrastructure communications across a diverse regional network. This is an 8-month initial contract based in Nerang, where you will turn technical project details into engaging visual assets that inform and connect local communities. You will work alongside experienced communications advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Design visual collateral such as project maps, infographics, fact sheets, flyers and executive presentations.
• Sourcing and managing stock imagery and brand photography in line with government guidelines.
• Coordinating external procurement for specialised graphic design and printing services.
• Maintaining document control, contact databases and stakeholder meeting records.
• Managing several visual design requests at once in a fast-paced environment.

Required profile

• Strong background in visual communications or graphic design; tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-volume visual assets to strict deadlines.
• Familiarity with brand visual identity systems and digital accessibility standards.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
