Commis Chef – Part‑time at Qantas Lounge

About the role

Join Accor’s Qantas Lounge team in Brisbane Airport as a Permanent Part‑time Commis Chef. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, preparing and serving high‑quality food for breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve food for breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets with variety and flair.
• Assist in ingredient preparation, including chopping, slicing, dicing and measuring.
• Maintain strict stock rotation, minimise waste and follow stock control procedures.
• Ensure food safety protocols are followed and keep all work areas clean and tidy.
• Wash dishes during service and maintain, service and clean all equipment.
• Report any equipment problems to the CDP and General Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a cook in a high‑volume kitchen.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to pass a federal police background security check.

Required skills

• Strong culinary skills and passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
