Commercial Professionals – Defence Maritime Sustainment (EOI)

About the role

KBR is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced defence commercial professionals to support its Maritime Sustainment programmes for the Royal Australian Navy. The role will involve delivering commercial solutions that ensure safe, sustainable and innovative support to critical naval assets across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial contracts and sub‑contracts for maritime sustainment projects.
• Oversee export‑control compliance and related documentation.
• Provide project‑control support, including cost tracking and schedule management.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, government customers and external suppliers to ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Maintain and uphold an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance.

Required profile

• Current Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) clearance or higher (Baseline Clearance acceptable).
• Proven experience in defence‑related commercial roles, preferably within maritime or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of Australian defence procurement processes and regulations.
• Ability to work in a high‑security environment and adhere to ITAR requirements.
