Commercial Manager

About the role

Metcash is seeking a Commercial Manager to drive profitable growth for its WA Food business and strengthen its independent retail network. You will work closely with the State Leadership team, applying a retail lens to commercial strategy, property opportunities and P&L performance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify revenue and margin improvement opportunities across wholesale and retail operations.
• Structure and negotiate commercial agreements, rebates and retailer arrangements.
• Assess commercial models, property and investment opportunities to support network growth.
• Turn data and insights into recommendations, challenge assumptions and influence decisions.
• Partner with state leaders on business planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance improvement.
• Collaborate across Retail, Property, Finance, Supply Chain and other teams to unlock opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven track record of delivering revenue growth, profitability and business improvement.
• Experience in commercial retail, commercial property or revenue growth management.
• Strong understanding of retail economics, P&L performance and deal structuring.
• Confident negotiator with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Results‑driven, independent mindset balanced with a collaborative approach.
