Coffee Trader – Australia

About the role

Sucafina, a sustainable farm-to-roaster coffee company founded in 1905, is looking for a dynamic and strategic Coffee Trader to drive sales, procurement and market expansion in the coffee industry. The role suits a proactive person with strong analytical skills, deep market insight and the ability to build client relationships while supporting global business strategy. It is based in Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales growth by finding new customers and markets, meeting sales targets and setting up promotional, marketing and educational events with clients across Australia
• Nurture and expand the client base and keep clients engaged for long-term partnerships
• Analyse the market, propose region-specific strategies and monitor daily market exposure to support trading decisions
• Oversee purchasing with origin teams, set purchase plans, follow shipment schedules and support global P&L
• Take part in daily cuppings and quality assurance activities
• Monitor client drawdowns and payments, and mitigate risk through close communication with clients and origin teams
• Support office operations and logistics for incoming shipments, and collaborate on strategic projects
